Sat 9/16 2017 update - 72 % Restoration rate claimed. CHeck your individual status. Village event to provide a safe place for kids to gather and play

Restoration efforts in Palmetto Bay continue - our debris clearing crews are ongoing.  Ice is nice, but power is what everyone is clamoring for.  Ice is needed by people who do not have the power so I am thankful for for my long list of Ice Heros and Ice donators.  And of course to a partnership with the Town of Cutler Bay and Palmetto Bay with Lennar Homes - Lennar provided 60,000 pounds of Ice throughout the day at Holy Rosary Church.  More on that later date.

8:00 AM update:  As of 8:00 AM, Palmetto Bay remains at the approximately 72% restored as of the 8 AM update.  FPL claims that 6,860 have been restored, 2,640 remain out in Palmetto Bay.

Please check your Status listed by FPL
Please review your FPL record – I have heard from people who are listed as “restored” but still without power.  It does not appear to me that we are 72% restored.

FPL crews have moved onto the Laterals, which gets FPL deeper into the neighborhoods – hopefully YOUR neighborhood if you are one of the 28”percenters” without power.

Today - 11 - 4 Village Gathering
Its Saturday, parks are still not open.  There will be a Village Community Gathering today at Village Hall. Planned events include a movie, pizza kid games from 11-4. Try to beat the heat and have a meet up with friends and neighbors. A place not in the debris filled streets for kids to play safely.
