So who wouldn’t want to add a Squirrel Feeder? Squirrels are actually quite entertaining.
Obviously I am not alone in that thought as the store shelves were
empty of the $27.99 squirrel lunch box this day. Impulsive as I am, I then traveled online to
find another local source to purchase a squirrel feeder (BTW, shop local –
avoid Showrooming).
I found the Squirrel Lunch Box on the Petsmart online catalog and I
just had to share the single review with all of you. Hopefully you will find it just as amusing
as I did:
Review: I bought this and put it in my backyard. Trust me it does not only attract squirrels but also bears, raccoons, skunks and yeah. if you want your backyard full of wild animals, then this product is for you!
Personally i returned it! I don't need wild animals in my backyard.
Pros: feeding animals!
Cons: attracts more than just squirrels
Doesn’t “need wild animals” in their backyard? Really, what did the reviewer expect to
happen? Now I am double pumped to get
the Squirrel Lunch Box. Just the thought
of adding bears and skunks to our Palmetto Bay backyard menagerie really adds to the
excitement (hold on, yes, I realize that there will be no bears or skunks in
Palmetto Bay). There were skunks at one
time in the Deering Estate area of Palmetto Bay, but they may have been wiped out
by the feral Boa population.
Funny.

ReplyDeleteA classic Gene. Keep it up.
ReplyDeleteOn our 5 acre hammock, we have hundreds of squirrels but haven't seen a rabbit for some time. Pythons?
ReplyDeleteAlways a possibility. Feral constrictors appear to be everywhere including Palmetto Bay, including a 13 foot Burmese python capture in a Palmetto Bay pool on Christmas Day http://eugeneflinn.blogspot.com/2011/12/nbc-6-reports-13-foot-burmese-python.html I also separately posted a photo taken taken on October 12, 2005, which shows one of Palmetto Bay's original policing unit officers and high school friend, Ofc Randy DiStefano, participating in the capture of a non-native snake. http://eugeneflinn.blogspot.com/search/label/Randy%20DiStefano
