Here she GOCEs - What goes up often comes down. Today (Sunday, Nov 10) may be the day.

Is the sky falling? Yes and no.  Eyes are on the he 2,000-pound Gravity Field and Steady-State Ocean Circulation Explorer -- a European Space Agency satellite known shorthand as GOCE as it completes its death spiral and prepare to enter Earth’s atmosphere.  Hopefully it will put on a show while not harming anyone or anything.

There is no chance of us being affected or even seeing any evidence of this burn up.  70% of the Earth’s surface is water, meaning there’s only a 30% chance of the satellite debris hitting a landmass. The chance of anyone seeing or hearing anything from this satellite reentry is less than seeing the partial eclipse last week and how many people even know that was coming, let alone see it.
