Facts should matter. Truth? Its not about the message. It is all about the messenger. Not limited to national concerns as it has all tricked down to local politics.

It not just one, but infects both sides of the aisles.  It is local as well as National.

People are reluctant to think for themselves and simply have chosen sides and will fight to the end to support their chosen cult. Sound bites and shout downs have replaced discourse and discussion.

The rational town hall has gone into hiding (for now) and is bunkered down along with transparency.

  1. Hi, Eugene! Having taught science for 32+ years (MDCPS) I have to agree with you about people supporting their cult to the end, not allowing facts and data to interfere. When do we distinguish between cult mentality and using logic and facts to "choose a side"? Since I'm a member of the ScienceNerdCult (hahahaah) I find that my "side" is being substantiated by a large body of data-driven knowledge, accepted by an international community of problem solvers, ever evolving. Watching politics DEvolve into short attention span sound clips, full of errors, driven by monetary greed, rather than rational transparent solutions...counterproductive. Thanks for your insight.
