THE DOG DAYS OF SUMMER ARE HERE AND WE CONTINUE TO HAVE MORE SURRENDERS AND DROP OFFS THAN WE HAVE ADOPTIONS. PLEASE REMEMBER THAT WE ARE A 100% NO KILL SHELTER. EVERY DOG THAT WE HAVE IN OUR CARE STAYS WITH US UNTIL THEY ARE ADOPTED DOG FOOD DONATIONS ARE DESPERATELY NEEDED AT OUR SHELTER AND FELIX VARELA HIGH SCHOOL. We have had dogs returned to us after being in their Forever Home for over five years, due to their owners losing their home. The surrenders are heartbreaking, but we take them back so we can try to find a new FOREVER home for them. Our Shelter, Felix Varela and our foster homes are busting with dogs with all kinds of medical and basic needs.
