Concerned Citizens Meeting- SEED Presentation

The Concerned Citizens of Cutler Bay are meeting on Wednesday, January 2 from 7-9pm at Cutler Ridge United Methodist Church, 20740 Old Cutler Road. (usually meetings are the first Tuesday of every month, but in January the meeting is Wednesday, January 2).

 The first guest speaker will be Tia Diaz-Balart, who will discuss the SEED Foundation, a school hoping to locate on the old Baypoint School property on 87th Ave (map). Then, Kathy Mulkern from the Old Cutler Towne Center will present plans for the renovation of the shopping center on Old Cutler Road - including the Publix Supermarket.

Due to construction, it is not possible to get to the church from Old Cutler Road. You must approach the church on Marlin, drive past the "no through traffic" sign as you approach Old Cutler Road and turn left into the church parking lot.

Winter Wednesdays at Deering

Wednesday, January 2nd from 4-8pm. The Deering Estate will offer $5.00 after-hour admission. Enjoy a glass of wine or picnic on the main lawn or simply enjoy the outdoors. For more information, visit deeringestate.com.

Chick Flick Night at Pinecrest Gardens

Friday, January 4th - 6:30pm Music Lounge, 8pm movie. Visit Pinecrest Gardens for this months Chick Flick Movie Night featuring the movie “Music and Lyrics” (PG-13). Admission is $5.00. Pinecrest Gardens is located at 11000 Red Road. For more information, visit pinecrest-fl.gov.

Cutler Bay Chili Cook-Off

Saturday, January 5th, at Cutler Ridge Park from 11am to 3pm. Cutler Bay will be holding their 4th Annual chili cook-off with prizes awarded for the best chili, salsa and corn bread in Cutler Bay.
