I don't know if there is already a place for residents to add their comments/ideas for this so I hope it's ok to post here. I was not able to attend the meeting but wanted to offer some ideas. I would love to see lots of opportunities for music lessons, art classes, DANCE classes (and more than just ballet). We have a more diverse community moving through this area and the classes should reflect the new vibrant energy of new, multicultural, global families. Many of us are transplants from other cities or other parts of Miami (like the Grove) and of course are drawn to the "village" feel but miss the opportunities that still only reside in places like the Grove, Brickell, etc. For example, I would love to see capoeira, salsa dance classes, wine tastings, Indian cooking classes, photography, "nerd nite" type events, etc. And how fabulous would it be to get a little hip cafe in the corner of the center that is not starbuck's-- something that is more local and one that features tea and live local talent? Many of us younger families on our block talk about this quite often. Would love to see it materialize. If there is a better place to post this feedback, please let me know. Thank you!
