It sounds official - Gov. Rick Scott is set to sign the texting while driving ban into law today while in North Miami.

Florida is set to become the 40th state to ban texting while driving.

As posted in the Miami Herald: In a statement, Scott said that texting while driving concerns him as a father and a grandfather. He said state officials must do everything they can to keep the roads safe, particularly during the summer. Scott says the 100 days between Memorial Day and Labor Day are the deadliest days on the road for teenagers.
