History - 31 years ago today: The world tore down the Berlin Wall.
Now that was a party. Long overdue.
The Berlin Wall was a sobering sight. Now that was communism. That was imprisoning your citizens. This was a potential flash point to start WW III. I have posted a few photos that I took personally while on Holiday in West Berlin back in 1982 (to this day, I do not know why the photo quality is so poor):
