Florida’s freshest fish and seafood are always the main event with South Florida’s area restaurants and caterers lining Seafood Alley including Devon Seafood + Steak, Whole Foods Market Coral Gables, Golden Rule Seafood, Rodbenders, Asian Fusion, Paella Party, Fancy Loaf and more. Acclaimed Executive Chefs Dean Max, Cindy Hutson, Paula DaSilva and Damian Gilchristhost the much anticipated cooking demonstrations presented by Whole Foods Market Coral Gables under the big top tent, while Sommelier Veronica Litton of Crown Wine & Spirits presents limited seminars on pairing wine and seafood, in Charles Deering’s Prohibition Era Wine Cellar in the historic Stone House.

The Seafood Festival offers entertainment for all ages! In the Deering Discovery Cove, the Estate’s Educational and Interpretive Staff has planned a Swiss Family Robinson-type adventure, with hands-on activities and scientific exploration. For the less intrepid, the Lil’ Shrimp Kids Zone, presented by Baptist Health Systems, is filled with unlimited fun on inflatables, offers interactive activities, and when hunger strikes, there is a menu with kid-friendly food.

You won’t want to miss the fun at this year’s festival with continuous live entertainment, featuring the island groove of steel drummers, the Caribbean Crew Band, plus Mr. Nice Guy’s rock ‘n roll music to close out the day. Enjoy pontoon boat rides to Chicken Key, an Artist Lane and tours of the historic estate.

The event offers a courtesy bike valet through Green Mobility, for those wishing to pedal to the festival. Free car park and ride is also available at satellite locations with shuttle service to the Estate.
