How many of you know that our Kelly Craig was part of the Hurricane Andrew team with Bryan Norcross and Tony Segreto?
While it was fun to pull out some old photos and reminisce it was more important to prepare for the next one - and rest assured that Palmetto Bay is prepared. Are you?
Per Robert Molleda, Meteorologist, NOAA - 2017 was first year a Storm Surge Warning was issued / areas where there may not have been hurricane force winds, but there were local threats nonetheless. Discussion of going “Beyond the Cone”
A single storm can cause more than just dollars in damages. It can cost human lives. We know from experience that people are more likely to be safer and have the ability to recover more quickly when they are properly prepared.
I have provided you with links below [as well as posted on my blog (CLICK HERE) for the resource links or (CLICK HERE) to view past posts relative to Disaster Preparedness]. You should have your disaster preparedness kit and have a plan to keep your family safe. Is your insurance coverage adequate? Those living near the coast should be familiar with the applicable evacuation routes. Everyone needs to take personal responsibility for themselves, their families, and their pets. By making proper preparations, you will allow the first responders to focus on helping the most vulnerable residents.
