The
results were announced last night. I have learned that they may still be 20 votes outstanding for the canvassing board to consider, so things may still change. We will know more when the canvassing board meets at 10 AM today.

Time to budget for yet another lawsuit.
ReplyDeleteTha Alexander Montessori school now has standing to sue and contest the constitutionality of this ordinance.
ReplyDeleteI hope they sue and I hope that many of us will dontate to a legal defense fund for Beverley McGhee, the school and the students. The fund should be named the "Save our Students fund."
DeleteI really don't like my tax dollars going to pay attys that defend the indefensible acts of our Village government. However, this despicable ordinance was voted on by our thoughtless neighbors and was supported at the polls by our (hopefully not for much longer) Mayor and Joan Lindsey. It is an ordinance based on hate and which serves no useful purpose. I for one invite the school to sue the Village because sometimes the judicial system is the only way to stop runaway politicians like Lindsey and Stancyzk.
