DIst 114 State House race - meet Ross Hancock

Looking for a community based individual to vote in Florida House District 114?

People who live Coral Gables, South Miami, Pinecrest, a tiny bit of Palmetto Bay and all of Cutler Bay have a choice between Eric Fresen (previously representing Hialeah, Virginia Gardens and other district 111 areas) and Ross Hancock, a political new comer who shied away from special interest money in order to run a community based campaign.

Hancock’s opponent is an invisible candidate with a large pot of gold from lobbyists and developers of the worse kind. Ross Hancock is a high energy person who has knocked on 1000’s of doors and captured the Eye on Miami, PBA and Sierra Club’s endorsements. Hancock’s opponent has yet to show his face at community forums even though he RSVP’d for one in Pinecrest on education and one in Cutler Bay for a community debate. His opponent left the community attendees and Hancock like brides at the altar.

As a state representative, Ross commits to working hard to keep public school money where it belongs, he commits to being an educated representative when he votes for his constituents in Tallahassee and very importantly, here at home, he intends for his state office to be a resource for the community, not a hangout for lobbyists.

As an owner of a “smart car” he puts his environmental beliefs into practice. Ross is an avid gladesman, enjoys building his own kayaks and understands the impact of good planning on South Florida’s fragile environment. Unlike his opponent, Ross enjoys his district all the way from its furthermost urban point north to the tranquil wetlands along the southern coast of Biscayne Bay.
Ross Hancock is my choice for State House 114. He is running for all the right reasons.

  1. Ross would be great; I met him at the polls. He has a sense of humor and loves to talk to people. He asked lots of questions which really helps me explain our aggravations with the state.
