Pumpkin Patrol Update - public concern results in action

Pumpkin Patrol Update. Palmetto Bay councilman Howard Tendrich has stepped up and advised me (11:12 AM) that he is making sure there will be a Pumpkin Patrol tomorrow night.  It will be from 6 to 8 PM. That doesn't cover the entire evening, but we will take what we can get.  Thank you Howard for stepping up. Your responsiveness is one of the big reasons why I am supporting you. You heard our concerns, but the other guy apparently couldn't care less.

  1. Let's hope so. We pay taxes. We deserve to be heard.

  2. Vice Mayor Pariser cares. You will be able to tell Thursday morning when the Village PIO splashes photos of Mr. Pariser riding around in a village police car, handing out candy to all the good little boys and girls. This is just one big photo op and you know it Gene.

    1. Watch how little he cares for village children once the cameras disappear.

    2. 6 to 8 PM? Are you for real? It is now 7:45. Halloween will just be getting started and the police will be finishing up. The party will just be getting started and the security will be leaving.

    3. Of course it will end at 8 PM. The police have to get the council members to Denny's in time for breakfast the night before, then tucked in bed. The Council wants all noise to end by 8 PM.

  3. Public concern for the kids my eye. Mayor Stanczyk and Vice Mayor Pariser were simply reminded by the noise you made and feared the loss of another photo op. It is not dark at 6 PM, but the cameras take much better photos.

  4. Pumpkin Patrol only from 6 to 8 PM? It is now 9:15 and my street is still rocking. I guess the oldsters council members needed to get home to bed. It takes energy to chase voters at the early voting sites.

  5. Some action. We had hundreds of kids. Did not see one officer all evening.
